Sophrosyne Technologies Secures $ 2 Million in Funding Round
Semiconductor startup Sophrosyne Technologies has secured $2 million in a seed funding round spearheaded by Bluehill.VC.
The startup based in Bengaluru has recently completed technical diligence and received a MeitY DLI grant totaling $1.2 million.
The funds will facilitate the shift from prototype silicon to large-scale development and worldwide OEM partnerships, drive growth in silicon design, firmware creation, and initial customer rollouts in India and global markets, as stated by Sophrosyne Technologies.
Established in 2022 by Manish Srivastava and Jatin Gupta, Sophrosyne Technologies is a fabless semiconductor startup focused on creating an innovative biosensing SoC for wearable and digital health devices. Its unified design merges analog signal capture, energy management, and software assistance to enable device producers to create more advanced and effective health-monitoring products.
Sophrosyne states that it is creating an integrated multi-vital biosensing SoC designed to measure ECG, PPG, respiration, temperature, and related signals with outstanding accuracy while maintaining very low energy usage.
By integrating various sensing capabilities into a single compact design, the company allows wearable devices to provide more comprehensive and ongoing health information with a reduced silicon footprint.
