Following a pilot test, Swiggy has launched its travel and lifestyle concierge app, Crew, for users in three metropolitan areas: Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi.

This occurs as the online food and grocery delivery service is actively broadening its focus beyond its main business of food delivery and rapid commerce.

The firm began pilot testing the new application a few months prior. At that point, although the app was present on the Google Play Store and Apple Store, access was limited to those with an invitation. Users can now access its services by paying a subscription fee of ₹999 for a duration of three months.

The app provides users with services such as making restaurant reservations, creating travel itineraries, planning birthday parties, finding gifts, updating documents like Aadhaar, and ordering cabs.

In a social media update, Phani Kishan Addepalli, co-founder of Swiggy, described Crew as Swiggy’s most daring move so far in its quest to become the “operating system” for contemporary life.

He mentioned that users have been utilizing the app for organizing trips, finding gifts, repairing watches, or even planning family-friendly transportation during international vacations.

“Swiggy’s guiding principle has always been to restore time, energy, and space for individuals to engage in activities they cherish, whether it’s caring for their children, exploring a new hobby, enjoying a cricket match, or any other pursuit. Our goal is to be the operating system that fuels your life,” Addepalli stated.
