Tata Communications Buys 51 Percent Ownership in Commotion Inc
Tata Communications revealed that they have obtained a 51 percent ownership in Commotion Inc., a company specializing in AI-based enterprise software-as-a-service, operating in both the United States and India. This acquisition is aimed at enhancing the integration of AI within Tata Communications' Digital Fabric portfolio.
The purchase will primarily improve Tata Communications' Customer Interaction Suite, which consists of Tata Communications Kaleyra. By combining Commotion's orchestration engine with Kaleyra's essential systems, including channels, the Kaleyra TX Hub, and CCaaS, the company seeks to automate and direct complete customer journeys.

This change is anticipated to transition interactions from reactive replies to proactive and innovative engagement on various touchpoints.
The platform integrates Voice AI, an Agentic AI Builder, and Omnichannel Journey Orchestration, allowing businesses to streamline intricate tasks and provide customized experiences on a large scale, all the while enhancing backend operations.
