
Tata Communications Partners with Amazon Web Services

Tata Communications has partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc., to create an advanced AI-ready network in India. As part of this initiative, Tata Comm will develop a robust, high-capacity long-distance network connecting three key AWS infrastructure sites to enhance the adoption of generative AI and cloud innovation in India. This AI network will allow businesses throughout India to construct, train, and implement scalable AI applications.
The initiative aims to foster innovation in various sectors, including healthcare, finance, and education. The proposed AI network will link AWS infrastructure located in Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai via a national long-haul network to facilitate AI and machine learning (ML) workloads across India.
Amazon operates two data center regions in India situated in Mumbai and Hyderabad, in addition to AWS Direct Connect and the AWS Edge Network infrastructure in Chennai.
