TCS Inks Landmark MoU with C-DAC

Tata Consultancy Services, a worldwide frontrunner in information technology services, advisory solutions, and business consulting, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Center for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) to enhance the growth of India's independent cloud infrastructure.

With India's increased focus on autonomous and protected digital systems, this partnership seeks to create expandable, artificial intelligence-powered cloud solutions that comply with India's requirements for keeping data within national borders and facilitate the technological advancement of essential government services.

The partnership with C-DAC, which serves as India's leading research and development organization operating under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), will create and incorporate domestic technological innovations into TCS' independent cloud framework.

This initiative will facilitate the protected and regulation-compliant deployment of vital government systems such as e-Sanjeevani, Dial 112, and computing tasks from federal departments.

The alliance guarantees compliance with rigorous data security requirements while promoting quicker business implementation through improved safety measures, regulatory adherence, and operational efficiency across important industries including medical services, military operations, urban development initiatives, and banking and financial services.

This partnership demonstrates a wider strategic objective focused on decreasing dependence on international cloud giants through the development of a strong, forward-looking national cloud infrastructure powered by OpenStack and domestic technologies. By working together and engaging with government entities, TCS and C-DAC seek to establish sovereign cloud solutions as the preferred option for India's digital modernization efforts.
