Techno Digital Inaugurates 36 MW AI Data Centre in Chennai

Techno Digital has launched a 36MW AI-capable hyperscale data centre at SIPCOT IT Park, Siruseri, Chennai, as part of a staged $175 million investment within a national $1 billion initiative for digital infrastructure advancement.
The new building covers more than 200,000 square feet and provides hosting capabilities for around 2,400 high-density racks. Every rack accommodates power densities between 10kW and more than 50kW, aiming to meet the needs of AI workloads while serving enterprise and hyperscale clients. The data center is situated in Chennai's primary IT corridor, offering connections to various cable landing stations and key domestic networks.
The facility includes an on-site 110kV gas-insulated substation (GIS), which receives dual power feeds from two separate substations through underground cable pathways. The reliability of power supply is enhanced by employing advanced uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems that have been tested and certified for compatibility with NVIDIA's newest GB200 server series.
