
The New Chairperson of HCL Technologies Is Roshni Nadar Malhotra


India’s wealthiest woman Roshni Nadar Malhotra is now the chairperson of HCL Technologies of Noida as reported on Friday. Roshni takes over her father Shiv Nadar. Her appointment as non-executive director will take effect immediately (by HCL Technologies regulatory filing), while Shiv Nada will stay as managing director of HCL Technologies acting as the chief strategy officer.
Roshni Nadar Malhotra has served as the executive director and CEO of HCL corporation,
vice-chairperson of the HCL Technologies and trustee of the Shiv Nadar Foundation. Here in HCL Corporation, Roshni Nadar Malhotra will have responsibility of providing strategic guidance to the organization.
Roshni Nadar Malhotra got inducted as the additional director on the board of India’s third largest software exporter in 2013 which was just after four years of her appointment on the board of HCL Corp (Holding company of HCL Technologies and HCL Infosystems).
She is passionate about wildlife and conservation and started Habitats Trust in 2018. This trust is protecting the country’s wildlife natural habitats and endangered species imbibing the core mission of creating and conserving sustainable ecosystems.
Roshni is a Delhite and completed master’s from Kellogg School of Management, USA in Business Administration. Her master’s degree was focused on Social Enterprise Management and Strategy. She is an alumnus of the World Economic Forum’s Forum of Young Global Leaders initiative – the community of the world’s most outstanding, next-generation leaders.
Roshni Nadar Malhotra got featured in ‘The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women’ list of Forbes from 2017 till 2019. She was the country’s richest woman with a total worth of INR 31,400 crore in 2019 by IIFL Wealth Hurun India.
