
TN CM Stalin Inaugurates Equinix Data Centre at Siruseri IT Park

In an effort to establish Tamil Nadu as India's digital center, Chief Minister M K Stalin officially opened the Equinix Data Center at the SIPCOT-Siruseri Information Technology Park.
The facility was built with an investment of Rs 574 crore. In order to provide infrastructure that supports artificial intelligence and next-generation technologies, Equinix, a US-based company, constructed a state-of-the-art data center in Siruseri, Chengalpattu district. As a top supplier of digital infrastructure, the company runs data centers across several nations and provides global connection solutions for multinational corporations.
The chief minister, who had laid the project's foundation during the investors' summit in July 2022, was present when a Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of the data center was inked. At a ceremony today, Stalin officially opened the data center on behalf of the Department of Industry at the Secretariat.
"The government of Tamil Nadu is taking various special initiatives to attract the necessary investments, create a large number of jobs for the youth, and increase the state’s economy to one trillion USD," according to the administration.

It further stated that measures were being taken to attract high-tech initiatives, which would lead to the creation of numerous high-paying jobs.
In order to demonstrate the company's dedication to the development of the state, Manoj Paul gave a cheque for Rs 9 crore from the company's CSR fund to the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund (CMPRF) on this special occasion

Senior officials were present, including Equinix India Private Limited Managing Director Manoj Paul, Industries Department Secretary V Arun Roy, Chief Secretary N Muruganantham, and Industries Minister T R B Rajaa.
