Wipro Opens GIFT City Hub to Provide Services to Global BFSI Clients

Wipro Limited unveiled a new hub at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) on Thursday, starting with a capacity of 150 seats—expandable to 500—as it aims to speed up AI-driven transformation in the global banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) industry.

The new center aims to enhance Wipro’s abilities in providing consulting-driven, AI-focused solutions to worldwide BFSI clients. In line with its Wipro Intelligence platform suite, the hub will concentrate on sectors like digital banking, capital markets, regulatory technology, risk and compliance, and modernization of core platforms.

The company reported in a regulatory filing that the facility is anticipated to improve co-innovation with clients and assist in the implementation of ethical AI across essential financial processes.

Gujarat's Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, who officially inaugurated the hub, stated that the initiative indicates the State's increasing significance as a worldwide center for financial and technology services. He observed that GIFT City keeps drawing major companies due to its infrastructure, policy backing, and talent network. Sanjeev Jain, Wipro's Chief Operating Officer, characterized the expansion as a tactical investment aimed at enhancing the influence of its AI-driven solutions for the BFSI sector.
