Wipro Partners with IISc
Wipro, a leading IT services firm revealed its collaboration with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and the Foundation for Science Innovation and Development (FSID) to promote research and innovation in advanced technologies.
Wipro stated that the partnership, backed by Wipro Intelligence's range of AI-driven solutions, platforms, and services, seeks to achieve advancements in agentic AI, embodied AI, quantum AI, and quantum-safe solutions to assist enterprises in creating more secure, adaptive, and autonomous digital operations.
The collaboration leverages a long-standing connection between Wipro and IISc, originating in 1979 when both organizations initially teamed up to design and develop mini-computer systems based on microprocessors.
Wipro and IISc will create a joint research effort focused on quantum computing, advanced AI models, secure digital frameworks, and novel autonomous network techniques. The initiative will bring together senior faculty, researchers, and scientists from IISc with engineers and technology specialists from Wipro.
The teams will develop solutions that have real-world implications, such as autonomous network intelligence for upcoming 6G settings, embodied and agentic AI for robotics and manufacturing, as well as advanced optimization and secure computing frameworks for critical infrastructure and financial services.
