Zomato Collaborates with Delivery Platforms Alliance

Zomato has become part of a coalition consisting of key food and grocery delivery platforms focused on promoting the use of zero-emission two- and three-wheeled vehicles worldwide.
The formation of the industry-driven alliance, Deliver-E Coalition, which is supported by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), was announced in Dubai earlier today, with Delivery Hero, DoorDash, iFood, Mr D, Swiggy, Uber, Wolt, and Zomato as its founding members.
Zomato stated that the coalition's founding charter brings together members to significantly accelerate the adoption of zero-emission deliveries by transitioning to electric vehicles, bicycles, and other two- and three-wheeled alternatives.
Members will exchange effective strategies, monitor electrification advancements, and create solutions for shared obstacles, it stated.
"Our aim in participating in the Deliver-E Coalition is to harness the strength of knowledge exchange and collaborative efforts to speed up this transition," stated Anjalli Ravi Kumar, Chief Sustainability Officer, Eternal Limited.
Shoppers are progressively purchasing online, with worldwide ecommerce revenue reaching USD 25 trillion in 2021 across 43 advanced and emerging markets, marking a 15percent rise compared to pre-pandemic figures, as reported by the UNEP.
