Tell us about your flagship Edge Computing solutions and how you ensure customer trust & satisfaction.
Our wide range of solutions includes Industrial Embedded computers, AI Edge Systems, and ruggedized computing platforms, along with products built for complex industrial applications, namely COM Express motherboards, WEBS fanless systems, and ROBO SBCs. The latest addition to our product portfolio is the PJAI series of Box PCs, specifically designed for Edge AI applications.

When we take up a project, our dedicated R&D team works closely with customers from the start to ensure we design the perfect product at the right cost. What are some of the challenging cases where you overcame difficulties and achieved positive results through one of your services?
One of our most challenging and
rewarding projects was with a large public transportation organization. The goal of the endeavor was to create a robust on-the go infotainment system which processes feeds from multiple cameras and streams video content.
When our client found off-the-shelf solutions unsatisfactory, we were approached. Our team collaborated closely with the organisation’s software vendor to build a custom, durable AI-capable compute box from scratch, which can withstand a dynamic environment open to several weather conditions.

What’s the next chapter planned for

Looking ahead, my focus for Portwell is on expanding our edge AI computing capabilities, improving security in edge deployments, and integrating 5G technology into our solutions. We are also investing in next-generation AI hardware, software-defined architecture, and enhanced cyber security measures, which can meet the evolving industry demands.
Further, as part of our sustainability-focused efforts, we remain committed to developing energy efficient computing solutions that will help businesses minimize their carbon footprint.
