Amazon to Take Quick Commerce Service Now to 100 Cities
Amazon India plans to extend its quick commerce service, Amazon Now, to 100 cities and increase its micro-fulfilment network to over 1,000 centres, the company announced on April 27, signifying its most ambitious effort in the rapidly evolving rapid-delivery market.
The growth occurs shortly after the ecommerce leader revealed a Rs 2,800-crore investment aimed at enhancing its operations in India, a portion of which is allocated for expanding quick commerce infrastructure.
“Customers still appreciate Amazon Now, valuing our delivery speed, affordability, and variety, particularly the high quality of fresh produce obtained directly from farmers. Motivated by this achievement, we have expedited our growth strategy and aim to extend Amazon Now to 100 cities, supported by a network of over 1,000 micro-fulfilment centers," stated Harsh Goyal, vice president – Everyday Essentials, Amazon India.
