Apple announced the keynote and Platforms State of the Union schedules for its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), as well as more details about how developers will be able to learn about the future of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS.

WWDC21 sets sail with the announcement of exciting new updates coming later this year to all Apple platforms.

Developers will be able to interact with one another as well as directly with Apple engineers for advice on creating creative and platform-differentiating apps and games at the conference.

WWDC21, which is open to all developers, will bring together the global Apple developer community and provide new insights into the technologies, tools, and frameworks they use.

The platform will provide unparalleled access to Apple engineers and designers, with over 200 in-depth workshops, one-on-one labs, and more, so developers can learn about the latest tools and technology to help them build the next generation of software.

Members of the Apple Developer Program will schedule one-on-one lab meetings with over 1,000 Apple experts to ask questions about the new APIs and best practices, as well as submit applications for user interface and design feedback. Throughout the week, Apple engineers will be available in the Apple Developer Forums to answer questions and participate in technical discussions.

Each day, beginning June 8th, new session videos will be posted in the Apple Developer app and on the Apple Developer website.

The platform will include special activities and events designed to celebrate developers and bring the community together, in addition to sessions and lab consultations with Apple engineers and designers. Take part in a coding or design contest, listen to guest speakers, and much more.

On June 1st, Apple will honor student developers from around the world by announcing the winners of the Swift Student Challenge, which allows students of all ages to show off their coding skills by making their own Swift playground.

Pavilions, a new feature for WWDC21, will enable developers to quickly find related sessions, labs, and special activities for a specific topic. Exclusively inside the Apple Developer app, conference attendees will individualize their WWDC experience by browsing content organized around unique topics such as SwiftUI, Developer Tools, Accessibility & Inclusion, and more.

The keynote address will be streamed live from Apple Park and will be available on apple.com, the Apple Developer app, the Apple TV app, and YouTube, with on-demand streaming available after the stream concludes.

The Apple Design Awards honor Apple developers' artistry, craftsmanship, and technical achievement each year. The Apple Design Awards will be broadcast live on the Apple Developer app and website.

By exploring the latest tools, technology, and advancements Apple developers will be able to build even better apps across Apple platforms. The Apple Developer app and the Apple Developer website will be used to stream the State of the Union.
