Ayush Ministry Signs MoU with Zepto
The Ayush Ministry entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Zepto Limited, alongside its export promotion council, to enable online availability of Ayush medicines and wellness items nationwide.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) seeks to enhance digital discovery while maintaining quality standards and building consumer confidence in conventional healthcare products.
Zepto is an Indian rapid-commerce platform providing fast delivery of groceries and essentials.
In a video message for the event, Union Ayush Minister Prataprao Jadhav stated that Indian startups focused on innovation are crucial in enhancing final access to reliable wellness products.
He underscored that collaborations with reputable digital platforms like Zepto illustrate how technology can be effectively utilized on a large scale to link India's extensive AYUSH heritage with contemporary, clear, and convenient distribution networks across the country.

The minister also mentioned that the partnership is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of merging India's traditional knowledge systems with contemporary digital infrastructure.
He noted that these initiatives enable consumers to make informed decisions while creating new market opportunities for AYUSH producers, without sacrificing quality, safety, or regulatory compliance.
The MoU was executed in the presence of Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush, with Anurag Sharma, Chairman of the Ayush Export Promotion Council (AYUSHEXCIL), and Kaivalya Vohra, co-founder and CEO of Zepto.
Sharma stated that the collaboration establishes a systematic route for AYUSH producers, especially MSMEs, to connect with digital customers.

He mentioned that the partnership is designed to enhance quality assurance systems, including the advancement of the AYUSH Quality Mark, while facilitating the responsible sharing of accurate and scientifically supported information on AYUSH methods.
