Bengaluru Tech Summit to Have the Participation of Over 30 Countries

The Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS-2021), dubbed as Asia's largest tech festival, will be organized in a hybrid format this year from November 17 to 19, and will be having over 30 countries to attend the event. It will be launched by Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, the Karnataka government's and the Centre's annual flagship event.

State Electronics, IT/BT and S&T Minister C.N.Ashwath Narayan told a news conference on BTS-2021 that the 24th edition of the event, with the theme 'Driving the Next,' will be held on four tracks namely IT, BT, start-ups, and the Global Innovation Alliance (GIA).

Over 30 countries are expected to attend, with 300+ speakers, 5,000+ start-up participants, 300+ exhibitors, 20,000+ business attendees, and a total digital reach of half a million tech enthusiasts with over 75 conference sessions.

Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot will preside over the inaugural ceremony on November 17, which will be attended by Chief Minister Basvaraj Bommai, Union Minister of Communications, Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajeev Chandrasekhar.

The India USA Tech Conclave, India Innovation Alliance, BENGALURU NEXT Leadership Conclave, BENGALURU NEXT Innovators Conclave, and a presentation of Science Gallery are among the new highlights included this year, according to Narayan.

Israel's Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, World Economic Forum founder and Chairman Prof. Klaus Schwab, Kyndryl CEO Martin Schroeter, senior Central and state government ministers, a host of international industry captains, government officials, Nobel Laureates, visionary leaders, and others are expected to attend the event, which is themed 'Reform, Transform, Perform,' according to Narayan.

Apart from that, there will be multi-track conferences, international exhibitions, the Global Innovation Alliance meet, start-up focus, national rural IT quiz, BioQuiz, biotech posters, STPI IT export awards, smart bio awards, and start-up unicorn felicitations.

GCC, Hybrid Cloud, ESG, AI and ML, 5G, media and entertainment, cyber security, global ESDM market, and skilling and reskilling fintech transformation will be covered in the Electronics and IT Track.

The Biotech Track will cover themes such as the use of moderna and MRNA technologies in vaccine development, investing in next-generation medical technology and diagnostics, gene editing, oncology, vaccine equity, displaying India's vaccine leadership, and the latest advancements. According to Narayan, cell therapy is a promising field.

The India-US Tech Conclave will be hosted in conjunction with the US-India Business Council, with sessions focused on life sciences on the east coast, start-ups on the west coast, and IT in the middle.

The India Innovation Alliance would focus on bringing together diverse innovation clusters from across the country with Karnataka.
