Bloom Energy, a worldwide frontrunner in energy solutions, today revealed an enhanced collaboration with Oracle to facilitate the swift development of its AI and cloud computing framework.

Oracle plans to purchase as much as 2.8 gigawatts (GW) of Bloom's fuel cell systems under a master services agreement.

Under this agreement, an initial capacity of 1.2 GW has been secured, with installation in progress and extending into the following year. Bloom’s fuel cells will assist Oracle projects in the U.S. and help fulfill the need for its advanced cloud infrastructure.

The widened collaboration highlights Bloom’s ability to offer quick, dependable energy tailored for AI tasks, which need swift, load-responsive assistance that conventional grids were not built to supply. Bloom’s systems are designed to more efficiently support higher-density AI workloads, utilizing a technology platform that adheres to emerging standards like 800 V dc.

Mahesh Thiagarajan, executive vice president, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure says,“By rapidly deploying Bloom’s reliable, efficient fuel cell energy, we are quickly meeting the demands of our customers across the United States. Together, Bloom and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure are building the power foundation and AI infrastructure to accelerate American AI leadership.”
