Center Clears Rs.3,000 crore Electronics Cluster in Rajnandgaon
According to reports, center has sanctioned the creation of an Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC 2.0) in Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh, projected to draw investments exceeding Rs 3,000 crore and create around 9,000 direct and indirect jobs.
The endorsement from the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is regarded as a significant enhancement to Chhattisgarh's quest to become a favored location for advanced manufacturing.
MeitY has sanctioned central financial support of Rs 210.56 crore for the initiative, which has an estimated cost of Rs 432.08 crore.
The Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation (CSIDC) will establish the cluster over a area of approximately 306 acres.
The expansive complex will provide pre-built factory units, dependable electricity and water resources, storage facilities, and other contemporary industrial amenities, allowing businesses to start operations with minimal delay.
Four anchor firms in the semiconductor, electric vehicle, and smart electronics industries have shown interest in establishing operations within the cluster. Their involvement signifies increasing investor trust in Chhattisgarh as an appealing location for tech-focused industries.

Sai highlighted that the decision demonstrated growing investor trust in Chhattisgarh and reiterated his administration's dedication to providing local youth with industry-specific skills to help them take advantage of the job opportunities created by the mega project.

The EMC 2.0 initiative aims to bolster national efforts like Make in India, Digital India, and Atmanirbhar Bharat by enhancing electronics manufacturing capabilities, component production, and value addition.
