In India, popular trading platforms like Groww and Zerodha were also impacted by the temporary outage.
“A change made to how Cloudflare’s Web Application Firewall parses requests impacted the availability of Cloudflare’s network at approximately 8:47 GMT and concluded approximately 9:13 GMT. This was not an attack; the change was deployed by our team to help mitigate the industry-wide vulnerability disclosed this week in React Server Components. We will share full details in a blog post today,” the company says.
Cloudflare CTO Dane Knecht said in a post on X that they were aware of the issue impacting the availability of Cloudflare’s network. “It was not an attack; root cause was disabling some logging to help mitigate this week’s React CVE...Sites should be back online now, but I understand the frustration this causes and the work being,” he says.
Cloudflare attributed the disruption to a scheduled alteration implemented by their team to address specific vulnerabilities.
It was emphasized that the incident was not the result of an attack or a breach in security.

Recently, on November 18th, there was a widespread disruption during scheduled maintenance of the company's data centers.
Earlier last month, on the 18th of November 2025 at 11:20 UTC, Cloudflare encountered notable disruptions in delivering essential network traffic. Internet users attempting to access our clients' websites during this period would have been presented with an error page suggesting a network failure within Cloudflare.

The problem did not result from a cyber attack or any form of malicious activity, whether directly or indirectly. Rather, it originated from an alteration in the permissions of one of our database systems, leading to the generation of numerous entries into a "feature file" utilized by our Bot Management system.
Consequently, the size of the feature file doubled unexpectedly. Subsequently, the enlarged feature file was distributed to all the machines comprising our network. The program utilized by the machines for diverting network traffic relies on the feature file to continually update our Bot Management system with the latest security threats. However, due to the software's restriction on the feature file size, which was set below its actual capacity, the system encountered a failure.
