Delhi Metro, Airtel Introduce One Travel Card
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Airtel Payments Bank have partnered to launch co-branded RuPay National Common Mobility Cards (NCMC), aimed at enabling seamless travel and digital payments across metro systems and public transport networks in India.
The announcement was made on Sunday at the Delhi Metro headquarters in the presence of DMRC Managing Director Vikas Kumar, Airtel Payments Bank MD and CEO Anubrata Biswas, and senior officials from both organizations.
Branded as “On-The-Go” cards, the newly launched products include debit cards and prepaid payment instrument (PPI) cards designed for use across mass transit systems. The cards will allow commuters to make metro journeys, pay for buses, and access other transport services integrated under the National Common Mobility Card ecosystem using a single payment instrument.
