Design and Develop in India and Deliver to the World: PM Modi
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi opened the India AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Speaking at the event, Shri Modi stated that the world's largest and significant AI Impact Summit is taking place in India, a country that embodies one-sixth of the global population.
He emphasized that India has the largest youth demographic globally, the greatest pool of tech talent, and a flourishing tech-driven ecosystem. He highlighted that India not only develops new technologies but also embraces them at an unmatched speed.
The Prime Minister highlighted that 140 crore Indians are enthusiastic about adopting new technologies and, on their behalf, he offered a heartfelt greeting to Heads of Governments, leaders of the global AI community, and innovators attending the summit. He conveyed appreciation for their attendance and emphasized that organizing this summit in India is a source of pride not just for the nation but for the whole Global South.
Highlighting that the summit has gathered the elite of the AI community, with representatives from more than 100 nations and prominent attendees worldwide, Shri Modi emphasized the robust presence of youth at the summit, which he asserted fosters renewed confidence.

He noted that although new technologies frequently encounter early doubts, the rapidity and confidence with which young people globally are embracing AI, claiming it, and utilizing it is unparalleled. The Prime Minister noted the excitement around the AI Summit’s exhibition, especially the significant involvement of young talent.
