According to research by consulting firm ANSR, up to 80 percent of global capability centers (GCC) in India are focusing on digital capabilities including artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analytics.

ANSR's quarterly GCC report stated that 74 percent of chief information officers (CIOs) ranked artificial intelligence (AI) as one of their top three priorities for the fiscal year 2024.

The top five future-focused and developing skills in need at GCCs include robotics process automation, cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analytics, AI/ML, and generative AI.

ANSR says that India is the country that has established the most Global Capability Centres (GCCs), accounting for over 50 percent of them.

Through its Global Capability Centres, ANSR Global is a consulting organization that helps organizations create and manage teams.

Using 12 million square feet of office space, the corporation has developed over 110 Global Capability Centres and employs over 1.20 lakh individuals.

India continues to be the most sought-after location for GCC establishments, holding over 50 percent of the market thanks to a combination of exceptional talent and a strong startup ecosystem, according to the quarterly report.

Additionally, the report showed that around 80 percent of GCC countries were concentrating on data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

"We are witnessing a transformative shift in the Global Capability Centres landscape, with a strong focus on digital capabilities such as AI/ML, analytics, and cyber security driving unprecedented growth," said ANSR Co-founder Vikram Ahuja.

The results show that Bangalore and Hyderabad, with their respective percentages of 30 percent and 19 percent, have cemented their positions in the GCC, ahead of Delhi with 15 percent, Mumbai with 12 percent, Pune with eight percent, and Chennai with nine percent.

The GCC industry, currently valued at $ 46 billion, is expected to grow to $ 110 billion by 2030 as companies look to take advantage of India's trained labour and advantageous economic conditions, the survey stated.

Over 4.5 million professionals are anticipated to be employed across 2,400 Global Capability Centres as a result of this growth trajectory.
