According to Downdetector, around 12,000 YouTube users were affected in various parts of the world, including in the regions like the US, Britain and India.

Millions of users around the world faced downtime of Google services, including Gmail, YouTube, and Google search. Downdetector, a company that provides overview of issues and outages, confirmed that the outage started at around 12:52 pm Monday, and are affecting users worldwide. However, after several minutes of downtime, the services have been restored.

YouTube has already issued a statement on the matter, as per ANI. “We are aware that many of you are having issues accessing YouTube right now – our team is aware and looking into it. We’ll update you here as soon as we have more news: Team YouTube.” The cause of the outage is still unclear.

According to Downdetector, around 12,000 YouTube users were affected in various parts of the world, including in the regions like the US, Britain and India. If the Google Docs users were seeing the error message as ‘Google Docs encountered and error. Please try reloading this page, or coming back to it in a few minutes’, YouTube just displayed its error page with the graphics of a monkey with a statemet: ‘Something went wrong’ along with a search bar.
