Govt Policy on Exports to Enhance Competitiveness: PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi reinforced his appeal for encouraging Made-in-India goods, stating that the Cabinet is making choices to boost exports and enhance their competitiveness in the global market.
The Union Cabinet, during a meeting led by PM Modi on Wednesday, sanctioned the long-anticipated Export Promotion Mission and the Credit Guarantee Scheme for Exporters.
Making sure Made-in-India echoes even more distinctly in the global market The Union Cabinet endorsed the Export Promotion Mission (EPM), aimed at enhancing export competitiveness, supporting MSMEs, first-time exporters, and industries that rely heavily on labor, the PM stated in a message on X.
“It unites essential stakeholders to create a mechanism that is effective and focused on outcomes,” he stated.
The Prime Minister stated that the Credit Guarantee Scheme for Exporters, which has received Cabinet approval, will enhance global competitiveness, facilitate seamless business activities, and support the nation's aspiration of becoming an ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’.

Additionally, he stated that the Cabinet's choice to revise the royalty rates for minerals such as graphite, caesium, rubidium, and zirconium will enhance supply chains and generate employment opportunities.
The Prime Minister stated that these minerals are vital for Green Energy.

At the Outreach and Interaction Program on Next Gen GST Reforms in Vishakhapatnam, the minister said there will be enough money for people to have more cash in hand, which would have otherwise gone as taxes.
