IT services major HCL Technologies announced that its software business division, HCLSoftware, will acquire Croatia-based enterprise robotic process automation (RPA) platform provider Robotiq.ai for an enterprise value of €9 million (approximately Rs 98 crore) in an all-cash transaction.

According to a regulatory filing, the acquisition will be executed through HCL Technologies Austria GmbH, a step-down wholly owned subsidiary of HCLTech.

The subsidiary will acquire 100 per cent of the outstanding equity of Robotiq.ai. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of November 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.

HCLTech said the acquisition comes amid growing enterprise demand for AI systems that can reason and execute tasks reliably across complex business environments.

By integrating Robotiq.ai’s enterprise RPA capabilities into HCLSoftware’s portfolio, AI-driven workflows can automate tasks across applications where suitable or accessible application programming interfaces (APIs) are unavailable.

Robotiq.ai’s technology is designed to support enterprise automation and enable organizations to integrate automation into broader business processes. The company serves large enterprises across sectors including banking, insurance and telecommunications.

Founded in August 2018 and headquartered in Zagreb, Croatia, Robotiq.ai provides enterprise-grade automation solutions to large organizations. Its platform is aimed at automating business processes and tasks across enterprise applications.

Robotiq.ai reported revenue of €1.4 million for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2025, up from €0.9 million in each of 2024 and 2023.

The acquisition will expand HCLSoftware’s automation capabilities as enterprises increasingly integrate AI and automation into their digital workflows.
