HFCL Bags Rs. 495 Crore Data Center Export Deal
Domestic telecom equipment manufacturer HFCL has secured an export contract worth approximately Rs. 495.8 crore from a leading global data center company for the supply of optical fiber cables, the company said in a regulatory filing on Friday.
According to the filing, the contract, valued at around $51.98 million (Rs. 495.80 crore), has been awarded through one of HFCL's wholly owned overseas subsidiaries.
The order involves providing optical fiber cable solutions to support data center connectivity for a reputed international customer.
HFCL said the project is scheduled to be completed by December 2026.

The latest order comes shortly after the company launched its OptiQ AI portfolio, a suite of advanced data center connectivity solutions designed to address the growing demand for high-speed, AI-driven digital infrastructure. The contract further strengthens HFCL's presence in the global optical networking market and reflects increasing demand for reliable fiber connectivity from large-scale data centre operators.

The latest export win is expected to further strengthen HFCL's order pipeline and reinforce its position as a key supplier of fibre connectivity solutions for next-generation digital infrastructure projects across global markets
It is also enhancing its optical fibre manufacturing capacity from 30 million rkm to 40 million rkm per year.
The capacity expansion is aimed at supporting both domestic and international demand, particularly as investments in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and hyperscale data centers continue to accelerate worldwide.

HFCL has also witnessed strong growth in its optical fiber cable business. During the previous financial year, the company's OFC segment recorded its highest-ever order book, reaching Rs. 13,483 crore.
