IBS Group Launches AI Venture Naviq Technology

IBS Group has launched Naviq Technology, a new artificial intelligence-focused company dedicated to transforming the global travel industry, with plans to invest $500 million (around Rs 4,800 crore) over the next five years.

Announcing the initiative at a briefing in the city, IBS Group Founder and Executive Chairman V K Mathews said the investment reflects the group's long-term commitment to accelerating AI adoption across the travel ecosystem.

The new venture will work with global airlines, airports, cruise operators, vacation providers, and hospitality companies to modernize operations, drive large-scale business transformation, and create new revenue opportunities through artificial intelligence.

Naviq Technology will leverage the deep travel domain expertise of IBS Software, the flagship company of IBS Group, to develop AI-first solutions that improve operational efficiency, personalize customer experiences, and enable data-driven decision-making.

The company aims to help travel businesses automate processes, optimise resources, and deliver more intelligent and seamless services to customers.

IBS Software is a leading Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider for the global travel industry, serving aviation, hospitality, tour and cruise, and logistics sectors. Its client portfolio includes major airlines such as Air India, Emirates, and Air New Zealand, and the company maintains a significant workforce in Kerala.

According to the company's growth plans, Naviq Technology will expand its presence through 16 global centres and increase its workforce to more than 5,000 high-tech professionals over the next five years. The expansion is expected to strengthen the company's global delivery capabilities while creating skilled employment opportunities.

The launch comes as the travel industry increasingly embraces AI to enhance operational resilience, improve customer engagement, and unlock new business models.
