IIIT-Bangalore Hosts National Startup Day Summit
The Innovation Centre at IIIT-Bangalore successfully organized a half-day summit named “Co-Creating the Future with Startups and Corporates” on 16 January 2026, in collaboration with MeitY Startup Hub and Startup India, to celebrate National Startup Day.
The gathering united corporate executives, startup creators, advisors, and ecosystem facilitators to investigate significant partnerships among startups, corporations, and educational institutions.
The summit included a keynote speech by Shivani Agarwal, Managing Director – Marketing Transformation, Accenture, along with an inaugural speech by Mr. Shamanth S N, Director – New & Emerging Business, Rakuten India. A fireside discussion on “How can industry, academia, and startups collaborate to shape the future in the current deeptech era” included Pavan Govindan, CEO & Co-Founder of Trozo, and Guru Mallikarjuna, CTO of Bosch Global Software Technologies, who provided practical insights on teamwork, challenges in adoption, and expanding innovation.
The panel discussion titled “Startups & Corporates Co-Creating Solutions: Challenges and Opportunities” featured Dr. Yogananda Jeppu (Boeing), Mr. Sanjay Gopinath (MathWorks), Shashidhar Subramanya (Bühler Group), and Raghav Gupta (Titan Company Ltd.).
