In the design and manufacturing industry, encompassing architecture, automotive, and aerospace firms, enthusiasm for AI has decreased this year, while worries about its disruptive impact have grown among leaders in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.
The State of Design & Make report from Autodesk indicates that organizations are having difficulty identifying practical applications for AI. The software company specializing in design and engineering conducted surveys and interviews with 5,594 leaders in the industry for the research.
Sentiment regarding AI and other new technologies has decreased markedly year on year, with just 68 percent of business leaders in the APAC region convinced that AI will improve their sector, a 6 percent drop from 2024.
Moreover, worries about industry upheaval driven by AI have increased, with half of the leaders now recognizing that AI is probable to unsettle their field.
