Infosys Invests in AI Procurement Startup Aerchain
Infosys has invested an undisclosed amount in Bengaluru-based AI procurement startup Aerchain through its Infosys Innovation Fund, strengthening its focus on artificial intelligence and enterprise technology.
Founded in 2019 by Harsha Kadimisetty and Himavanth Jasti, Aerchain provides an AI-powered procurement platform aimed at transforming enterprise sourcing and purchasing processes. The company’s technology is designed to help businesses automate procurement workflows, improve sourcing efficiency and make data-driven purchasing decisions.
The investment comes months after Aerchain raised $13 million in a funding round in March, led by Pavestone VC. The latest funding added to the startup’s previous capital raise of $3 million in September 2021.
Aerchain operates in the growing procurement technology segment, where enterprises are increasingly adopting artificial intelligence to streamline sourcing, supplier management and purchasing operations. AI-based procurement platforms can help companies reduce manual processes, identify potential suppliers and improve decision-making across procurement functions.
