Infosys to Expand Vizag Footprint with 20-acre Campus Plan
IT services company Infosys has detailed intentions to create a permanent campus in Visakhapatnam, covering 20 acres, as it enhances its footprint in the coastal city.
The planned facility is anticipated to accommodate as many as 7,000 professionals, based on an official announcement made on Thursday. The firm stated that the decision demonstrates its sustained belief in the area's economic and tech-oriented expansion.
In the last two years, Infosys has greatly expanded its staff in the city, rising from 250 workers to 1,900. Another 750 seats are anticipated to be operational shortly.

The firm emphasized its involvement with the local talent pool as a crucial factor in its growth. The Visakhapatnam center has recruited over 1,000 recent graduates and 500 seasoned professionals from the area.
The company indicated that this hiring trend reflects the presence of industry-prepared talent and the influence of Andhra Pradesh’s skill development programs and educational efforts aligned with industry requirements.
