The Government of Karnataka and the Consulate General of Israel in Bengaluru organized the Karnataka-Israel Cyber Dialogue 2026 to investigate enhanced cooperation in cybersecurity innovation, talent enhancement, research, technology, and digital resilience.

Conducted under the theme “United We Stand.” "Secure Tomorrow." The discussion was held as part of Karnataka's Global Innovation Alliance (GIA), in partnership with the Consulate General and Trade Mission of Israel in South India and the Centre for Cybersecurity Karnataka (CySecK).

The initiative united government representatives, cybersecurity and tech firms, startups, and academic institutions from Karnataka and Israel. A group of 10 Israeli cybersecurity firms engaged in industry discussions, technology showcases, and B2B meetings aimed at exploring prospects for actionable collaborations.

Conversations focused on four key areas: innovation and startups, industry collaborations, talent and skills, and policy and trust. The engagement emphasized converting knowledge sharing into partnerships and enhancing the resilience of essential digital infrastructure, enterprises, and government entities.

During the dialogue, Dr. N. Manjula, Secretary of the Department of Electronics, IT and BT for the Government of Karnataka, stated that cybersecurity has emerged as a priority for both the economy and governance as digital technologies become more integrated into daily life.

“Cybersecurity has evolved beyond being solely a technology problem.” It is a critical economic necessity, a key governance focus, and an essential condition for fostering trust in the digital future. Karnataka is well-positioned to participate in these technology partnerships due to our robust technology and innovation ecosystem, skilled workforce, startups, research institutions, and specialized cybersecurity expertise," she mentioned.

Dr. Manjula emphasized Karnataka's Global Innovation Alliance as a means to foster global technology and innovation collaborations. She mentioned that the Karnataka-Israel partnership could enhance collaboration in cybersecurity innovation, startup alliances, talent cultivation, research, technology verification, and critical infrastructure security.

Dr. Manjula syas the involvement of the CySecK team in Cybertech Israel and mentioned that Karnataka is looking into a stronger connection with the worldwide cybersecurity community, including the chance of Bengaluru hosting Cybertech events in the future. Efforts to strengthen institutional and technological partnerships are also being examined through knowledge-exchange initiatives involving entities like Tel Aviv University.
