The Karnataka Government has revealed the deployment of QpiAI Indus, a 25-qubit quantum computing system, at the Quantum Computing Center of Excellence (QCCE) located at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Dharwad and IIIT-Raichur.

The installation will mark QpiAI’s second deployment in Karnataka, broadening access to quantum computing resources for both academia and industry in India.

The initiative, part of the Local Economy Acceleration Program (LEAP), aligns with the State’s aims to establish advanced technology infrastructure according to the Karnataka Quantum Roadmap.

The QpiAI Indus platform will be utilized for educational purposes, aiding in curriculum design, practical student training, and faculty-driven research, along with commercial projects, allowing businesses and innovators to test and implement quantum computing for actual challenges.

QpiAI will additionally offer continuous assistance to facilitate IIIT-Dharwad users in onboarding, application development, and implementing use cases in both research and industry collaborations.
