KRAFTON Launches Third Cohort of its KIGI Incubator Program

KRAFTON India revealed the third cohort of its KRAFTON India Gaming Incubator (KIGI) and celebrated an important milestone with the imminent debut of Frontier Paladin, the initial PC game to arise from the incubator, scheduled to launch on April 24, 2026.

Collectively, these advancements highlight KIGI's increasing role in bolstering India's game development framework and assisting studios in creating globally competitive games.

The new cohort offers enhanced practical assistance, specialized experts, and user acquisition support for chosen studios.

Frontier Paladin, KIGI's inaugural PC game from Singular Scheme, releases on April 24, featuring a mix of action RPG and tower defense mechanics.

In its third edition, KIGI invites four new game development studios to join its premier program. Chosen teams will obtain milestone-oriented financial support between $50,000 and $150,000, in addition to 6-12 months of guidance from KRAFTON's international network.

This cohort presents an enhanced mentorship model featuring more significant involvement, specialized functional experts, and an increased emphasis on quality control. KRAFTON India will provide support for user acquisition, as well as access to tools and services through partners like Google Cloud, AWS, AccelByte, Lift Off's GameRefinery, AppMagic, Lysto, and newly added partners Liquid, Grit, and GameRamp.

The cohort includes four studios creating games in various genres, showcasing the creativity and technical aspirations of India's emerging developers.

Since its debut in 2023, KIGI has aided 10 studios in its initial two cohorts, covering a range of genres including puzzle, RPG, action-adventure, and sports.

The new cohort offers enhanced practical assistance, specialized experts, and user acquisition support for chosen studios.

The initiative has assisted developers in enhancing their production abilities, improving go-to-market approaches, and facilitating the launch preparedness of their projects.

Supported by strategic partners and practical guidance from industry specialists in India and South Korea, KIGI has played a role in fostering a more robust pipeline of locally created games with international appeal, while providing studios with opportunities for publishing assistance, venture capital, and sustained development.

One studio that has come from KIGI is Singular Scheme, based in Mumbai, with its forthcoming title, Frontier Paladin, which is the first PC game to be developed from the incubator. The solo-player action RPG merges skill-focused melee fighting with tower defense elements.

Players assume the role of Titus, a Paladin traversing a haunted battlefield while protecting their Order's stronghold through tactical trap deployment, AI-controlled companions, and developing character builds. The game signifies a significant advancement for high-quality PC game creation in India and has already garnered accolades at IGDC 2024 and 2025.
