The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is said to host the first Digital Economy Working Group meeting from February 13-15 as part of India's G20 leadership.

Four workshops will be held on digital public infrastructure, including sharing implementation experiences of digital identity in various countries, sharing of cyber security solutions for MSMEs, digital public infrastructure to boost attainment of sustainable development goals, and use of geospatial technologies for infrastructure and product development in the digital economy.

Along with these workshops, Uttar Pradesh's digital initiatives will be highlighted.

Furthermore, an exhibition featuring a Digital India experience center has been set up to demonstrate how Digital India has impacted the lives of India's billion-plus population through the use of cutting-edge technologies.

India has invited guest nations and international organizations like the World Bank, UNESCO, OECD, International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and UNDP to attend the DEWG sessions in addition to the G20 member nations.

In the experience center, visitors can interact with more than 40 digital transformational initiatives.

In order to stimulate innovation and provide public services in a secure cyber environment through a workforce with digital skills, the DEWG meetings in India will continue to work toward the vision of digital transformation and the global digital economy.

Focused discussions on the DEWG's priority areas of digital public infrastructure, cybersecurity in the digital economy, and digital skilling will take place over the course of the following two days.

The DEWG has a crucial role in influencing the global policy debate in the digital realm, with the global digital economy projected to be worth USD 11 trillion and predicted to reach USD 23 trillion by 2025.

India has invited guest nations and international organizations like the World Bank, UNESCO, OECD, International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and UNDP to attend the DEWG sessions in addition to the G20 member nations.

In April, June, and August, the DEWG will also convene in Hyderabad, Pune, and Bengaluru. Bengaluru will host the DEWG ministerial gathering.
