Microsoft to Launch AI Data Center in Wisconsin

Microsoft intends to construct a new large-scale artificial intelligence data center in Wisconsin, increasing its investment in the state to over $7 billion.
The recent initiative will be linked to a $3.3 billion data center in Mount Pleasant, located in the state's southeastern area, which was announced last year.
Microsoft announced Thursday that the first data center is set to launch next year and will hire around 500 individuals at its maximum capacity, increasing to approximately 800 when the second data center is finished, according to reports.
The region in Racine County, located between Milwaukee and Chicago, has attracted the interest of US presidents from both political parties lately.
Initially, it was the location for a $10 billion factory proposed by electronics manufacturing giant Foxconn, known for building phones for Apple and others, during President Donald Trump's first term, but those plans were significantly reduced.
