India-based entertainment startup Mythik has secured an additional $5 million in funding, pushing its valuation beyond $50 million as the company accelerates its ambitions of building a technology-driven global entertainment platform.

The fresh capital comes less than a year after Mythik raised a $15 million seed round, which it described as one of the largest seed investments in India’s media-tech sector.

The latest funding round attracted several prominent investors, including Harsh Jain, Rajat Gupta, Zubin Bharti Mittal, Ishan Sinha, Blume Ventures through the Blume Founder’s Fund, and Rooshabh Shah.

Existing investors such as Sakal Media Group, the family offices of Anirudh Patni and Samarth Parekh, and former Enam Asset Management Group CEO Samir Vora also participated in the round, reflecting continued confidence in the company’s long-term vision.

Founded by entrepreneur Jason Kothari, Mythik positions itself as a “tech-first global entertainment company” that focuses on adapting Eastern mythology, folklore, and historical stories for worldwide audiences through modern technology and immersive storytelling formats. The startup aims to transform culturally rooted narratives into globally appealing entertainment properties.
