
PM Modi Inaugurates Type-VII Multi-Storey Flats for Members of Parliament

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 184 newly built Type-VII Multi-Storey Flats for Members of Parliament located at Baba Kharak Singh (BKS) Marg, New Delhi.
He likewise planted a Sindoor sapling at the housing site and engaged with 'shramjeevis', laborers, and engineers responsible for the apartments.
The four towers are elegantly named Krishna, Godavari, Kosi, and Hooghly - the four major rivers of India that sustain millions of people, and now their essence will also influence the lives of our legislators.
He remarked with a jab at the opposition, “Certain individuals might feel distressed that the name Kosi brings to mind Bihar’s elections. People with such a narrow mindset always think like that."
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju, along with Union Minister of Housing, Urban Affairs, and Power Manohar Lal, were also in attendance at the event.
The newly opened complex is meant to be autonomous and is furnished with a complete set of contemporary facilities to meet the operational requirements of the Parliament members.

PM Modi emphasized that the project's development was required because of the insufficient housing availability for MP. Due to the restricted availability of land, there has been a continuous focus on vertical housing projects designed to enhance land utilization and reduce maintenance expenses.
