PM Modi to Inaugurate AI Impact Summit
India has extended an invitation to China for its forthcoming AI Impact Summit in February, highlighting New Delhi's aim to establish itself as a worldwide hub for artificial intelligence, despite a slow improvement in relations with Beijing.
During a press briefing, IT Secretary S Krishnan announced that New Delhi had officially extended an invitation to Beijing to participate in the upcoming summit.
“We've extended an invitation to China,” Krishnan stated, noting that the gathering will unite governments, international tech leaders, and AI specialists.
The AI Impact Summit, which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to guide the global discussion on AI toward productivity, inclusion, and tangible economic results. The event, arranged by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), is anticipated to welcome delegates from more than 100 countries, with invites dispatched to roughly 140 nations.
Approximately 15 to 20 nations are expected to have representation at the level of head of state or head of government, while more than 50 are predicted to send delegations at the ministerial level, according to MeitY Secretary S Krishnan.
