PM Modi to Inaugurate Projects in Rajasthan
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Banswara on Thursday to launch and lay foundation stones for development initiatives totaling Rs 1.08 lakh crore.
The main feature of the event will be the introduction of the 2,800 MW Mahi Banswara Nuclear Power Project, essential for enhancing India's energy sector.
Simultaneously, the Prime Minister will electronically inaugurate two fresh Vande Bharat trains - Bikaner and Jodhpur to Delhi - and the Udaipur-Chandigarh Express. He will additionally launch and establish the groundwork for initiatives in other states throughout the program.
This will be PM Modi's 16th trip to Rajasthan in the 22 months since the BJP government led by Bhajanlal Sharma took office in December 2023. Officials stated that his regular visits highlight the state's significance in terms of politics and development.
The Prime Minister has been actively involved in significant occasions, such as the oath-taking ceremony, eight electoral gatherings, and various administrative initiatives.
Significantly, he initiated the e-Seva Quick App at the Rajasthan High Court’s Platinum Jubilee in Jodhpur (August 2024) and established the groundwork for Rising Rajasthan and the ERCP Phase-I in December 2024. His visit to Bikaner in May 2025 was the first following Operation Sindoor.

For connectivity and infrastructure, the groundwork will be established for building two flyovers, a bridge across the Banas River, and 119 Atal Pragati Paths in Bharatpur, backed by an investment of Rs 878 crore

To enhance energy infrastructure, 15.5 GW of power transmission lines will be constructed in Jaisalmer, Barmer, Sirohi, Nagaur, and Bikaner with an investment of Rs 13,183 crore. Fifteen drinking water initiatives totaling Rs.5,884 crore will be initiated in the water sector across 11 districts, which include Banswara, Udaipur, Dungarpur, Dholpur, Sawai Madhopur, Barmer, Dausa, Churu, Ajmer, Bhilwara, and Sikar.
