President Murmu Inaugurates Projects in Odisha's Rourkela

President Droupadi Murmu returned to Odisha, receiving a heartfelt welcome during her important visit to her native state. At Jharsuguda Airport, Governor Dr. Kambhampati Hari Babu and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi welcomed her before she continued to Rourkela via a special helicopter, with the city having made extensive preparations for her visit.

The President's trip holds both symbolic significance and developmental emphasis, featuring a number of important projects set for launch in Rourkela, showcasing initiatives to enhance infrastructure while maintaining local heritage.

President Murmu will launch four significant projects valued at approximately ₹158 crore during her visit. These feature a contemporary planetarium and science center designed to promote scientific education and inquisitiveness among young people.

A thorough security arrangement has been established, featuring 45 police platoons, more than 200 officers, and over 800 home guards positioned throughout the city to oversee the visit and guarantee public safety

She will additionally open the Nirmal Munda entrance archway, constructed in honor of the area's heritage, alongside an Adivasi museum aimed at preserving and displaying Odisha’s diverse tribal culture. Moreover, a Unified Command and Control Center will be established to improve urban management, monitoring, and public safety measures in the city.

In advance of the prominent visit, Rourkela has been thoroughly prepared and safeguarded. Officials have marked these regions as no-drone and no-flying areas to guarantee uninterrupted security measures.
