Recent data from quick commerce platforms, such as Zepto, Blinkit, Swiggy, Instamart, and Zomato, shows patterns in customer behavior and indicates a rise in demand for a range of goods on Mother's Day celebrations across India.

Products like jewelry, plants, flowers, and chocolates are seeing peak demand, according to analysis from both platforms.

According to Zomato, Mother's Day sales are much greater than New Year's Eve for the first time.

Since its launch, Zomato's new AI feature—which lets users add a personalized celebrity video message to their orders—has been used by over 2 lakh users.

Data from Swiggy Instamart shows that 41 cards and 143 chocolates are sold every minute as of right now.

Orders for watches, handbags, and fragrances surged by 141 percent on the platform, setting a new record for single-day orders. Not only that, but jewelry orders have increased 11.4 times since last week.

“Glad we were able to work with our sellers and get handbags on Blinkit in time for Mother’s Day,” Albinder Dhindsa, chief executive of Blinkit, wrote in a post on X with a chart illustrating a notable increase in handbag sales on Sunday.

Blinkit also saw an increase in sales of smartwatches, jewellery and perfume. “Fresh bouquets sales have been spiking since morning,” Dhindsa wrote with a chart showing the sales exceeding those of Valentine's Day.

According to Zomato, Mother's Day sales are much greater than New Year's Eve for the first time.

The chief executive of Swiggy Instamart, Phani Kishan, stated that different cities had different orders that are currently the most popular. Hyderabad ordered plants, Chennai bought cakes, Kolkata ordered perfumes, Bangalore and Mumbai ordered roses, while Delhi ordered sweets.

The amount of plants sold as gifts has increased 7.7 times over a typical Sunday.

Additionally, handbag sales have increased in comparison to typical days, according to Blinkit, a quick commerce company owned by Zomato. Additionally, free fridge magnets created especially for Mother's Day were distributed by the company.
