Rocket Raises $15 Million from Salesforce Ventures
Rocket, an AI-supported app development platform based in Surat, has secured $15 million in a seed funding round spearheaded by Salesforce Ventures and Accel, along with contributions from Together Fund.
Established by Vishal Virani, Rahul Shingala, and Deepak Dhanak, the firm allows users to develop production-ready apps from natural language instructions.
The startup plans to utilize the new funds to enhance research and development, speed up product creation, and broaden operations internationally, especially with a new headquarters in Palo Alto, North America.
Rocket aims to streamline and accelerate the transition from concepts to fully operational software. Four months after its launch, the company reported that its platform has gained 400,000 users across 180 countries, who have developed more than 500,000 ready-to-use ideas.
Rocket's team of 60 individuals is located in both Surat and Palo Alto, and the company intends to increase its workforce in India over the upcoming year.
“At Rocket, it's not just about writing code more quickly. It's about finding smarter solutions. We hold a straightforward belief—creating applications ought to be as instinctive as thought. Rocket transforms creativity into functional applications and websites that are ready to launch and grow from the very first day,” says cofounder and CEO Virani.
