SCI 2025: Global Collaboration to Fuel Quantum Computing Goals
The SCI 2025 conference's third day featured a gathering of technology experts discussing the need for global collaboration to redefine the next computing paradigm. The event included various sessions like mentor talks, expert speeches, workshops, and research presentations, bringing together academics, industry leaders, and young researchers.
The day featured a Plenary session on "Memory Sharing in Heterogeneous Systems" by Dr. Peter Hofstee, followed by a session on "Supercomputing Without Borders" by Dr. Rossen Apostolov. A keynote address by Subramani Kengeri discussed system technology co-optimization for AI.

The conference featured workshops and tutorials on HPC workload orchestration, autonomous mobility, GenAI datacenter architecture, molecular dynamics, hardware-software co-design, remote system management, and hands-on sessions in HPC, AI, and Quantum computing.
The day also featured a keynote on quantum engineering by Vishal Chatrath (QuantrolOx); Women in Tech Track led by Prof. Bineesha Payattati, and a full-day workshop on RISC-V open-source computing. Poster presentations were showcased through the day, offering a platform for emerging researchers.
The third day of the Tech Expo was successful in drawing more than 5,000 attendees and included a presentation on quantum engineering, a Women in Tech Track, and a workshop on RISC-V computing, as well as poster presentations.

One of the main attractions was the themed session on Quantum Computing with the title “Global Quantum Synergy - Building Bridges from India to the World,” which featured talks on Neutral Atoms Quantum Computing by Dr.Roberto Mauro and Modular Architectures for the Exascale Era by Dr.Simon Pickartz.
The conference featured workshops and tutorials on HPC workload orchestration, autonomous mobility, GenAI datacenter architecture, molecular dynamics, hardware-software co-design, remote system management, and hands-on sessions in HPC, AI, and Quantum computing.

During the event, workshops and technical discussions covered advancements in earth sciences, AI infrastructure security, cloud-based data engineering, embedded Linux, and evolving cybersecurity strategies for next-generation computing systems. A specific session was focused on Quantum Computing and Virtual Reality, showcasing the emerging connections between quantum technologies and immersive computing.
The final segment of the day included in-depth interactions with industry experts, such as a Birds of a Feather session by AMD and expert-led talks on exascale storage, high-performance storage innovations, and cybersecurity strategies for HPC. The day ended with the Scale X panel, which featured leaders from major global technology organizations, promoting collaboration and information exchange among participants.
