SiMa.ai Secures Strategic Investment from Micron

SiMa.ai, a frontrunner in Physical AI, announced today a strategic investment from Micron Technology, Inc. that enhances its capacity to scale production-ready, high-performance Physical AI solutions for intelligent systems in the real world. The funding enhances the firms' partnership on closely integrated computing and memory frameworks aimed at providing outstanding performance-per-watt for edge applications such as robotics, autonomous systems, and industrial automation.

Physical AI — in which tangible, physical systems detect, think, and operate instantaneously — demands memory designs that harmonize high throughput with exceptional energy efficiency. To address this, SiMa.ai's Modalix MLSoC employs an advanced memory hierarchy to handle intricate tasks, such as Large Language Models (LLMs) and Vision Language Models (VLMs) at the edge.
