TCS Expands AI Partnership with AMD
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and American semiconductor firm Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) broadened their partnership in artificial intelligence to create extensive AI data center infrastructure in India, as both firms aimed to compete in the expanding computing market of the country.
The firms announced they will collaboratively create a rack-scale AI infrastructure design in India utilizing AMD’s ‘Helios’ platform, focusing on enterprise and sovereign AI requirements.
The broadened alliance will have TCS, via its subsidiary HyperVault AI Data Center Limited, implement AMD’s AI architecture in the nation. The partnership features a design for AI-ready data centers that can expand to a capacity of 200 megawatts. The announcement was made concurrent with the commencement of the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi.

The firms state that the suggested platform will facilitate high-performance training and inference tasks for hyperscalers, AI companies, and major enterprises working in India.
According to the agreement, AMD will supply its complete AI compute platform, whereas TCS will manage engineering, integration, and enterprise deployment for data center infrastructure. The firms stated that the rack-scale design intends to enhance performance efficiency and reduce deployment timelines for enterprise AI systems.
This shift positions AMD more squarely in competition with Nvidia in India's AI infrastructure sector, where businesses and government-related projects are enhancing compute power for large language models and sophisticated analytics.
