TCS Launches 10 New Threat Management Centers to Combat Cyber Attacks

Indian IT solutions giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS) announced the launch of 10 new Threat Management Centers across the globe, aiming to provide cyber security services to its enterprise customers. The cyber-attacks across the world have skyrocketed during the pandemic and the numbers are staggering and scary. The FBI had recently reported that the number of complaints about cyberattacks into their fire walls is up to as many as 4,000 a day, which is

a 400 percent increase from the pre-coronavirus times. Interpol has also reported an alarming raise in the number of cyberattacks aimed at major corporations, governments, and critical infrastructure. TCS with their eyes wide open is looking to tap into this market, offering protection.
TCS’ dedicated cyber-security houses will providing solutions and services, including managed detection and response services, incident management and breach support, on-demand cyber vigilance services, digital forensics and regulatory compliance. The centers are also poised to facilitate comprehensive and integrated threat management services across IT, OT, IoT and cloud ecosystems, leveraging local expertise and partner ecosystems.

In a statement, Dr Sundeep Oberoi, Global Head, Cyber Security Practice, TCS, said, “Large enterprises across the world are partnering with TCS to achieve a cyber-resilient posture that will help them face increasingly sophisticated and targeted attacks. Our global network of Threat Management Centers will leverage cutting edge technologies and our Zero Trust framework to provide rapid and expert security services locally, bringing us closer to our customers, while ensuring compliance with data protection laws.”

The threat management centers are located at Bloomington – US, Manchester – UK, Madrid – Spain, as well as at major Indian cities. Further, TCS plans to open more such centers in other regions.
