Wipro Launches AI-Native Business and Platforms Unit
IT services giant Wipro unveiled a specialized AI-Native Business and Platforms division, prompting a reshuffling of its top leadership.
Wipro veteran Nagendra Bandaru, previously the President and Managing Partner of Technology Services Global Business Lines (GBL), has been named Chief Executive Officer of the newly established AI division, effective immediately.
Bandaru, with nearly three decades at Wipro, will still report to Wipro CEO and MD Srini Pallia in his new position as head of the AI unit.
To occupy Bandaru's former position, the Bengaluru-based firm has brought on board ex-Accenture executive Kanwar Singh as the new President and Managing Partner of Technology Services GBL, as per a regulatory filing.
Singh has more than 30 years of experience, including a 19-year tenure at Accenture. He will report to Pallia and become part of the Wipro Executive Leadership team.
"This strategic shift enhances Wipro Intelligence's capacity to provide real value to clients and foster improved business results." It enables us to create and expand AI-driven platforms at unparalleled speed and discover new avenues for growth.
