Wipro Limited, a technology services and consulting company, announced the launch of its Cyber Defense Center (CDC) in Dusseldorf, Germany.

The CDCs of Wipro are spread out across the world to offer localized support and to meet the cybersecurity and compliance needs of its clients.

Wipro's Cyber Defense Center, the 17th of its type, will provide its clients with round-the-clock cybersecurity monitoring, incident response, and remediation help in light of the growing threat of cyberattacks and the need of data protection.

This center will make use of Microsoft's portfolio of cybersecurity technologies, particularly the Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and Microsoft Defender for IOT (Internet of Things) solutions, as part of Wipro and Microsoft's global relationship.

“Our Cyber Defense Center in Germany is an integral part of our strategy to expand our cybersecurity capabilities in Europe to provide advanced solutions to our customers”, said John Hermans, Head of Europe Cyber Security & Risk Services, Wipro Limited.

The center will also stress-test clients' cyber defenses to gauge their overall cyber resilience and give them customized cybersecurity exercises to prepare them for real-world circumstances.

“Cybersecurity is a business differentiator, and our capabilities are expanding to cloud-delivered services, including SaaS (Software as a Service), IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) as well as Operational Technology environments and IoT”, Hermans continued.

“We are happy to provide all these services in partnership with Microsoft’s suite of cybersecurity software”, added Hermans.

"We are pleased to collaborate with Wipro as a trusted leader in cybersecurity. This partnership highlights our shared commitment to helping our clients strengthen their security posture in an increasingly challenging digital landscape”, said Edith Wittmann, General Manager Global Partner Solutions Germany and Member of German Board at Microsoft.

“With the launch of a Cyber Defense Center in Dusseldorf, Wipro is reinforcing its commitment to providing their cutting-edge cybersecurity capabilities to our valued customers by leveraging Microsoft's comprehensive portfolio of cybersecurity solutions, Wipro's Cyber Defense Center will empower organizations to proactively manage IT security and compliance”, continued Wittmann.

The center will also stress-test clients' cyber defenses to gauge their overall cyber resilience and give them customized cybersecurity exercises to prepare them for real-world circumstances.
