Wipro Places Tulsi Naidu on Board of Directors

Wipro Limited, a global leader in information technology, consulting, and business process services, has elected Ms. Tulsi Naidu, a well-known business leader, to its Board of Directors for a five-year term beginning July 1, 2021 subject to shareholders’ approval.

Tulsi Naidu will join the Wipro Board as an Independent Director, bringing with her 25 years of experience in the global financial services industry.

Ms. Naidu worked for Prudential for 14 years, holding different executive roles throughout the company's UK and European operations. Prudential's most recent position was Executive Director, UK & Offshore. She was formerly Prudential UK & Europe's Chief Operating Officer, and prior to that, she held several general management positions in the sector focusing on strategic transformational change.

She is now the CEO of Zurich Insurance Group (Zurich) in Asia Pacific and a member of the company's Executive Committee. She joined Zurich in September 2016 and was appointed CEO of the UK business in November 2016, where she led an ambitious restructuring program that included reshaping the business, simplifying the structure, enhancing technological and digital capabilities, and positioning the company for growth in its core markets.

Wipro would greatly benefit from her knowledge of the global financial services industry, as well as her extensive experience in leading major transformational change and understanding of technology”.

Ms. Naidu has a master's degree in management from the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad and a bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, and statistics from Nizam College in Hyderabad.
